Yael earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in fiber and her Master of Arts in Teaching from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). Her experience as an art educator is focused at the K-8 level with a specific dedication to pre-adolescents. In her artistic practice Yael explores materiality, process, and storytelling. What she’s making in the studio often works in tandem with what’s going on in her classroom.
